Four days away from 10 years, four days shy of 10 years ago.

July the 24th, 2013, originally episode 1171,

called the Bright Future of Homesteading in America.

Thought it'd be a good idea to get off the gloom into the doom that we were on for the first two rewinds this week.

And talk a little bit about some things that are more optimistic looking forward.

Still a little bit of a prophetic show though, because 10 years ago I was doing this show.

Some of the Bright Future of Homesteading.

And I have to say that homesteading is probably leaps and bounds more popular today than it was 10 years ago.

Some of the biggest YouTube influencers, etc. today are in this homesteading, permaculture, livestock, regenerative agriculture.

All of it is incredibly, incredibly popular today, far more than before.

In this episode, I also talk about some of the previous homesteading movements, the 70s and the 30s and the 60s,

in particular, and how this time would be different.

And I think that is playing out.

But I really wanted to do this episode for you guys today, or redo this episode for you guys today,

so that you could realize that as much as this was spot on 10 years ago, it's more important today.

That this is how we can decentralize, control over the primary resources in our lives.
