news from a new standpoint. And one of the things that I noticed recently was somewhere

and I saw an example of what's known as the Serenity Prayer. Now, actually, most people

are familiar with the Serenity Prayer and they know the 12-step, you know, recovery version

of the prayer is shortened down. Don't know that it was originally put together by an

American theologian named Reinhold Nibbler who was with us from 1892 all the way up to

1970 when he checked out a year before I was born. And there's a long version of that prayer

that's much more a typical thing that you would hear when you think of like from a church

or something like that. But the short version of this is God grant me the Serenity to accept

the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know

the difference. And even those that don't believe in God don't believe in a higher power

would say they're completely unreliable. It might even be atheists seem to accept the

wisdom of that thing, that saying. And you can actually boil it down to a single sentence

except what you can change and change what you can. And I think that's something that's

so universal. It's why you see this thing on coffee mugs, calendars, necklaces, et cetera
