Hey everybody, Rob Mauer here, and today we're going to be talking about Tesla Stock because

Tesla did just have its best day in more than two months, so we'll spend some time on

that.

We've also got a couple of studies on adoption of electric vehicles, some news out of

China, a really cool new accolade for the Model 3 and a couple other stories as well.

Alright, so Tesla Stock, finishing up 5.3% today to $656.57, that compared to the Nasdaq

up just one-tenth of a percent, so actually a really strong overperformance by Tesla

today in a relatively mixed macro market.

In fact, Tesla was actually the best performing stock out of the entire S&P 500 or Nasdaq 100

today.

Now, even though Tesla's overperformance today only brought the stock back to the level

that it was five weeks ago, still nice to see, and it looks like the strength has continued

in after hours Tesla almost up another full percent in after I was trading as I'm recording.

As often as the case, there's no clear indicator of what was driving that performance today,

in those cases we can't attend to look for something that may have.

So of course, we had those updates yesterday from both Adam Johnson Morgan Stanley and

Alex Potter at Piper Sandler.

Today there was some positive commentary around Tesla appearing on CNBC, so Joe Taronova,

one of the frequent contributors there.

He's the Senior Managing Director of Vertis Investment Partners, they manage around $166

billion, and he announced that he's been buying Tesla, seemed to present it as more of

a trade than a long-term investment, saying that he was, quote, trying to capture an opportunity
