Tesla finished the day up 8% to $816.04.

So there's a $60 gain just today.

Previously, before split, that'd be a $300 gain. That was the share price of Tesla,

the entire share price of Tesla in Q4 of 2019. That was 15 months ago, and all of a sudden,

Tesla today has now passed Facebook to become the fifth most valuable company in the world and today according to

Bloomberg's wealth tracker Elon Musk has become the wealthiest person in the world today passing Jeff Bezosezos. So we are going to talk a little bit more about that.

But I do want to continue to discuss the stock price here for a couple more minutes.

I think there are three factors today that are overly influential.

Again, any individual day there's going to be thousands of different things impacting the stock price.

One of those factors, which we touched on a little bit yesterday would be, I think, a continuation

of assets being shifted into companies that are seen to potentially benefit from the Democratic

control in Congress and the executive branch and some of the impacts that a green new deal or something of the sort might have.

So if you look at solar stocks over the last couple of days, they've been performing really well.

I think that's probably also impacting Tesla to some extent.

Another big factor today is that overnight we saw an analyst upgrade from RBC capital markets.

They have increased their price target on Tesla all the way from $339 to $700 per share and upgraded the stock from an

underperform to a Sector Perform rating.

They titled their note, New Year Fresh Look moving to Sector Perform, and they say that quote,
