Hello and welcome to the Tuesday, December 4th, 2018 edition of Tesla,

Maurer. Quite the day for the markets today, the Nasdaq, with the fourth

worst day of the year so far finishing down 3.80%. Tesla on the other hand finished in the green up 0.34% to $359.70.

From a macro environment perspective the market seemed to fall on diminished hopes of agreements with China on tariffs due to a couple of Trump

tweets. He began by explaining kind of the negotiation timelines for tariffs and concluded those

tweets by saying, quote,

President she and I want this deal to happen,

and it probably will.

But if not, remember, I am a tariff man.

When people or countries come in to raid the great wealth of our nation, I want them to pay for the privilege of doing so.

It will always be the best way to max out our economic power.

We are right now taking in billions of dollars in tariffs.

Make America rich again."

I'm obviously not going to go too deep on that,

but it did seem to be one of the things driving the market lower today.

I didn't really see a whole lot else out there, even though the tweets did happen pretty early in the morning, and the markets didn't really fall off until a little bit later on.

That being said, Tesla was still able to finish in the green today, even though there wasn't really a whole lot of news out there with

Tesla either.

There are a couple things which we'll get into, but I think right now just Tesla has a lot of underlying

strength behind it. Right off the bat this morning

Tesla started really strong throughout the day the macro did weigh on it a little bit
