Hello patrons and welcome to episode four of TSFP Presents Classic Teams. This week we're talking

0:47.2

about a really, really interesting period of Spanish football and indeed Spanish history.

0:52.6

We're not talking about one, but two classic teams. It's the period at the start of the 1980s,

1:46.5

iconic managers involved as well. But almost as important as this or as interesting is the

1:52.2

political and social context of what was happening in Spain at the 1980s, at the start of the 1980s,

1:59.4

it was a rather wild time, I think you can say in all aspects. Anyway, we'll get to that in a moment,

2:06.5

but let's start talking about the football and about Real Sociedad winning their first ever

2:13.0

league title in 1981. Obviously, Athletic will have had previously won league titles, I think they'd won
