Hi, friends. Welcome to a really special week of the That Sounds Fun podcast. I'm your host, Annie F. Downs. I'm so happy to be here with you this week. This is Holy Week, the week between Palm Sunday and Easter. And traditionally, what we have done for the last few years is gone a little quiet

this week. We don't record any episodes of the podcast. We don't release any episodes of the podcast

to give us all just a little more time, myself and yourself and all of our friends included,

to reflect a little bit on what this week means. But this is not a normal year. And we did not want to do what we've

done the last couple of years. Still feel really good about not doing interviews and not releasing

interviews. But instead, what we are going to do is every day starting today until Easter,

I am going to read to you from Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the Gospels that are found

in the New Testament of the Bible, the story of exactly what happened on this day, Sunday to Sunday

in the Bible and the life of Jesus and the week before his death and resurrection.

Today I will be reading from my personal Bible, the NIV-1984.

Today is Palm Sunday, and we will start by reading Matthew 21 versus 1 through 11.

The Triumphful Entry As they approached Jerusalem and came to Beth Pay verses 1 through 11. The triumphal entry.

As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethpage on the Mount of Olives,

Jesus sent two disciples saying to them,

go to the village ahead of you,

and at once you will find a donkey tied there with her cult by her.

Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away. This took place to

fulfill what was spoken through the prophet. Say to the daughter of Zion, see your king comes to you,

gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the full of a donkey.

The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them.

They brought the donkey and the cult, placed their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them.

A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him
