And I'm Tom Askell. We are very thankful to have Dr. Tom Nettles in the studio with us today. Dr. Nettles is a dear friend. He is a teacher of God's word for many, many years of many, many different institutions.

0:43.0	And since you're here, we thought it would be good to just kind of walk through a historical theology of controversy. You have written a number of books, and you are apt in especially conflict and Baptist life, but it might go broader than that.
0:52.3	But there are things that we can learn from those who've gone before us, how controversy
0:55.8	has arisen in the church, and then what they did about it.
0:59.1	So you want to sketch out some details for us to get us started?
1:02.6	You know, we thought about having you here.

1:11.0	Yeah, but I don't know anybody who has assessed controversy in Baptist life better than you have.
