I'm Tom Askell. Thanks for listening to The Sword and the Trial today. Delighted to have you with us and we are very excited about the launch of the Institute of Public Theology. We have two courses coming up starting late August. Dr. Tom Nettles is going to be teaching a
0:22.9	course. And Tom, you'll be teaching a course, the first two courses, the maiden voyage of the
0:29.0	Institute of Public Theology. We have a convocation that's coming up as well, having Dr. Everett
0:34.4	Piper here with us. It's going to be a wonderful time. Yeah, August 28th is that convocation.
0:39.3	And if you're not familiar with Everett Piper, you need to get familiar with him.
0:42.5	He was the president of the Oklahoma Wesleyan University and wrote an article that became a book called Not a Day School and just showing how what's happening in higher education,
0:55.1	and Christian higher education especially, is a travesty. And so he's drawn a line in the sand.
1:00.4	He has been an outspoken advocate for a rigorous biblical worldview, which is kind of foundational
1:07.6	to what the Institute of Public Theology is. I mean, we, even in our discussions recently,
1:12.3	we've gone back over how timely it is. God has led to the beginning of this Institute. We need
1:19.4	this more today than any time in my life where Christians and especially Christian leaders are
1:24.2	trained to think about the Lordship of Christ in every area of life,
1:29.3	that our Christian faith is not private. It is not something that we are to confine within the
1:34.3	walls of our home or our church, but rather we have a duty under Christ's lordship to go into
1:39.7	the world, to make disciples, and to declare to everyone what King Jesus says. Yes. And we have our conference
1:47.9	coming up in January, January 20th through the 23rd, 2022, militant and triumphant, the doctrine of the
1:58.1	church. And you'll be preaching God's word at this conference. I will. Vody
2:01.8	Bakum will be with us as well. We have Conrad and Bayway, who is going to be joining us to deliver a message.
2:08.7	And we have Pastor James Coates from up in Alberta, Canada. And we would love to see you down here.
2:14.1	We had a wonderful time last year at this conference and all sorts of things
2:18.3	happen, all sorts of times of fellowship, people just connecting with each other from all around
