Today we want to get back into the confession.

We are in the 1689 Confession, London Baptist Confession, Chapter 3 on God's Decree.

This is an issue that flows directly out of the previous

chapter on who God is, what God is, and God as triune. So this is one of my favorite chapters

in the whole confession. And it's also one that causes people to stumble quite a bit because

they look at that and they say, well, if this is like what God is, then, you know,

I don't want anything to do with him or we're robots. And if they read the whole chapter,

they'll say, no, that's not what is being said because it's very, very carefully worded, grounded

in scripture. And, you know, the 1689 confession is the confession of Founders Ministries.

That's what we all agreed to when we started

founders 40 plus years ago. Every one of those seven men were 1689 confessionally committed men.

As all Baptist should be. That should be, yeah. And, you know, we're not so exclusive that we want anything to do

with people that disagree with us. And I've got great friends that are not reformed Calvinistic
