We've already gone through paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 and

two earlier episode so we encourage you to go back and check those out but we're starting in paragraph

three today a lot of good christological doctrine that comes out in these next few paragraphs

particularly when we think about penal substitutionary atonement,

when we think about the obedience of Christ, is passive in his active obedience, the way in which

the work of Christ saves us and how his human nature is fitted for that work.

Yeah, we are saved by the person and work of Christ, and his person had to be righteous in order for his death

to be an atonement. Those things, you can't have one without the other. And there's been debate,

and there are people today who just recoil at the idea of Christ's righteousness being
