main identity. We're a church of Jesus Christ. We want to honor Jesus Christ as Lord. We partner

with others in this convention of churches, but we partner with churches that are outside the

convention too. And we think that that's a healthy kind of way to do church life here in southwest Florida.

Over the last several weeks, as it was announced that I would be nominated to consider the

responsibilities of president of the SBC in the Anaheim Convention in June, I've been thinking

through some of the structural challenges that we have in the Southern
