Hi, I'm Tom Askell. I am in Cape Coral, Florida, which is Ground Zero for Hurricane Ian.

And I wanted to take just a minute to update friends and family and supporters of Founders' Ministries

to let you guys know some of what's going on here. As you probably are well aware, we have been

offline now for almost two weeks because of Hurricane Ian.

The hurricane came through with 140 mile an hour winds, Category 4.

Those winds at that speed were sustained for hours in some parts of the Cape.

And so our building at founders, our facilities have been damaged as well as the church

that I serve, Grace Baptist Church. I'm actually standing in my study at Grace Baptist Church.

And by God's kindness and mercies to us, there was no water that got into either the founders

facilities or the facilities of the church. And so we praise him for that. The storm surge, which was all around us, as much as five and six feet in some people's houses,

did not make it into either one of our facilities.

And we just attribute that to God's undeserved grace and mercy to us.

However, both facilities suffered damage.

And so here at the church, we're not able to use our facilities. We had to have worship on Sunday outside in our parking lot. We'll be doing

that for the foreseeable future as things get assessed because we have electrical damage, we have

roof damage, we have air conditioning damage, and there's other kinds of issues that we're

just not able to assess yet because we don't have full electricity, though we're grateful for all

of the kindness that God has shown to our area by sending linemen from all across the United States

have been working 24 hours a day to restore electrical power to us. Some facilities,

commercial buildings like our own, only have two of three phases back into them. So there are

certain things we just can't turn on yet and things that we've checked out that look like

they're damaged. We do know that we've suffered significant air conditioning damage to the units
