Kate Zambrano is my guest this week.

Kate is a representational artist who works mostly in charcoal. She draws and uses a paintbrush to apply ground charcoal to her

drawings with incredible precision.

In this episode, Kate and I talk about how she taught herself how to draw.

She made a decision to improve her skills and then spent about 12 hours a day,

every single day for about a year and a half and she learned how to draw.

Personally I love that kind of single-minded dedication and I love that intense focus.

Kate and I also talk about how she started getting her workout and selling it.

Instagram was still new in a level playing field.

Kate was able to support herself with her art.

She had thousands of followers who gave her moral and financial support for her work, and life is pretty good until Instagram was bought by Facebook.
