My name is Christine Blackburn, and I'm here with Hanna Sfinney.

And we're coming to you from Shorewood High School in Shorewood, Wisconsin. And let me guess why, because that's where you went to high school and that's where you were trying to fit in. That is exactly right. I was trying to fit in and mostly failing. I see, I can completely see that. I mean, not that you were failing, but in high school, how that would happen. Yes, exactly. And of course, we're coming from your high school because apparently that's where you were trying to fit in. Yes, yes, failing most of the time. All right. Every once in a while, I'd fit in. And we're talking about trying to fit in because our guest tonight, Jamie Flam, he brings forth the topic trying to fit in. Yes, which we've all done. We've all, especially you try and reinvent yourself as a, you know, you're, you're in high school or even junior high school and you're like, who am I? Who am I? Yeah, you know, I mean, of course, everybody's done this. Now here's something, though. A lot of people change their name at some point or want to go by a different name. Like I've always been Christine, but when I started college, I thought, you know, this is my big opportunity to be a different version, right? So I started going by Christy. And in fact, anybody that I know still from college, they call me Christy. But my question is, why didn't you ever do that, Honest? I'm going to tell you exactly what I'm. First of all, bitching about your name.

Biching about my name that nobody in America.

Hanas is a version of the name, Johannes, that is very prevalent in Germany and is not, like, people know Hans.

They know Johan.

So there was a short period of time in the 90s where I considered, I tried, I was,

I was going around and I was calling myself Hans instead of Hannes.

Really?

And did not take.

Really?

Did not take with people.

I don't know.

I thought that would be somewhat easier, not much of a help.

And by the way, I'm going to say in college before that, I can remember seriously thinking

to myself, I'm going to call myself Jason Lynch.

I fucking just made up a name like a superhero, like Jason, but I don't know where

in the fuck that possibly came from.
