Vicki Rose grew up knowing something was missing in her life.

In her early 20s, she came up with a plan to fill that sense of emptiness.

I thought if I got married, that the hurts from childhood, the emptiness that I had, that I was feeling, that would all just go away, that everything would be okay.

And so I was really focused on getting married.

So when she got engaged, she was desperate to follow through with the wedding,

even though she told a friend,

I'm not sure this is really going to work, but I just want to get married.

And if it doesn't work, we'll just get a divorce.
