Dashley fam how in the heck are you doing friends down here and I'm a little stuffy just so you know

how you doing over there today Ash I'm doing super it's kind of a heavy week we want to talk about some of that stuff

um we have deep we have heavy news and we have light news and we have really good news and we have

really interesting news there's a few more news stories today because so much has happened lately

and it's gonna be some things that you might not have heard about because I just found out about this

yesterday we can start with heavy do you want to start with heavy yeah it's just I mean there's so

much on the internet already and we're trying to be more of a voice of like we're trying to listen a

lot more than we're just trying to talk about George Floyd's very unfortunate and very sad very

unnecessary death and just like all the things that that kind of is connected to and and stands for

like just the the racism that is still alive in America today I grew up in Georgia um and I love

Georgia and I love the people there but I grew up in a very white community and I just never

knew I truly never I had one friend in first grade who was a African-American girl and then after

that I I truly like never knew anyone um who was a person of color and I started to kind of

learn more I was super naive when I was a teacher in some low income areas and just my eyes were

slightly opened to to some of the disparities the injustices just like mostly just open to like

like what this exists so and then I became a mom and a wife and I just kind of like fell into my life

that was very separate from all of those issues and Dylan and I have two sweet little children

um and we've never like before we had children we never really thought

like about the I don't like just how messy and kind of scary it is to have kids in a world and to

wonder what their life will be like when they're grown up um and also just kind of like the love

of a parent where you just like a an all-encompassing love and when you feel that for your own child

you kind of also feel it for every child like in ways I had never felt like everyone kind of
