welcome to Truth's table, midwives of culture for Grace and truth.

I'm McKemmeney, and it's just me at the table because it is that time of the season where we are having a truth table classroom.

As we've told you all, you know, this is our third season and from time to time, we, the

women of Truth's table, like to share what we do in our own individual ministries.

As you know, all three of us are anti-racist, we're speakers,

and sometimes we're called on to preach. And so I had the privilege and the opportunity to preach at City Point Church in Chicago

last month in June 2019 and they actually had their inaugural Juneteenth celebration Sunday and so I had the honor of

preparing a sermon around that theme and so the title of the sermon is Jesus is our Juneteenth.

And just for some of y'all who may not know what Juneteenth is,

although you should, Juneteenth is the commemoration

and celebration of the end of slavery.
