Summary

Episode Description:

In this special teaching episode of Truth’s Table, co-host Dr. Christina Edmondson brings a powerful and timely message drawn from 1 Samuel 22. In a sermon that speaks directly to the heart of our times, Dr. Christina explores themes of refuge, responsibility, and the dangers of unchecked emotions by contrasting the paths of King Saul and David.

Through the biblical narrative, listeners are invited to reflect on the devastating consequences of jealousy, paranoia, and the refusal to receive correction—as embodied by Saul—and the faithful resilience of David, even under pressure and betrayal.

Tune in and be encouraged, convicted, and reminded that even in our darkest hours, we are never beyond the reach of God’s justice or the call to walk in humility before the true King—Jesus Christ.

We have been working our way through First Samuel, right? And before David ever wore a crown,
