Praise God.

Turn with me to our scripture this evening again.

Actually, let's go to Matthew 15.

We've been going to Mark 7, but let's go to Matthew 15 and read Matthew's account.

We've been talking about truth or tradition.

Everybody say that out loud, why don't you? Truth or tradition. Everybody say that out loud, why don't you?

Truth or tradition.

And we've been getting into some things and examining what our life is based on.

And of course, we're right now in the beginnings of laying the foundation of this church.

And I've prayed and laid before the

Lord and said, Lord, I don't want to do anything just because somebody else has done it that way.

What do you want us to do? What's right for us to do? And so we're taking it a step at a time.

I mean, I told him, Lord, if you want us to have a midnight service, we'll have one. What do you want us to do?

And we are taking some steps toward what we've already got.

But we don't want anything based just on tradition, especially tradition that's contrary to the word.

And this is a subtle thing.

This is a subtle thing. This is a subtle thing.

Do you suppose that you've based your life on tradition in any areas instead of the word?

Or have you just always been totally based on the word your whole life?

No, the problem is that, you know, we, our grandparents' beliefs were based on certain traditions

and then our parents were based on certain traditions and we grew up that way and it just seems normal to you.
