Summary

Correction and conflict regarding sin is inevitable in the church and we need to know how to navigate these issues in the way we communicate. Paul's instructions to Timothy in 1 Timothy 5:1-2 explain how to approach older men, older women, younger men, and younger women. In this episode Costi Hinn unpacks why it's not only "what" you say that matters, but "how" you say it when dealing with family in Christ. Truth should never be compromised, but the Bible provides valuable insight for speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) to other believers.

If you push back against the idea that what you say and how you say it matters, you typically

get called the tone police.

And as a guy who's not afraid to say hard things and mix it up, I like this particular topic,

1:13.1

because it convicts me.

1:15.2

You could say that when Bible passages about tone come up for me personally, they tend

to hurt so good.

1:21.4

In other words, there's conviction there.

1:23.4

As God's word reminds me, it is not just what I say that matters, but how I say it does
