Hello everybody, welcome to the road world football show. I am Patrick Dirty, joined today by Danny Carter and Patrick Crane, you may have noticed, we did not have our weekly recap pod this week.

We had to allow our writers some time to celebrate the holidays and go, quote, see their family, quote, not go insane. And yeah, OSHA is telling me I couldn't make Danny write anymore Ravens blurbs.

Yeah, it's actually there's a federal limit on 6,240 words per for Gus Edwards every season. I hit that.

So we've got five or six days in the year is the long time listeners know we can't reveal it to Monday or Tuesday, but Danny will be writing about Gus Edwards again.

January 1st, 2023, but so we didn't have the recap pod this week, so we've got Mr Pat with us on what is typically kind of our waivers and a little bit of recap show, we're going to do a little more recapping than usual today.

Just good since not a big waivers week again, we're on several weeks in a row of like really low wattage waivers weeks, which is partly if we're getting to the end of the year, some teams are kind of shutting down, but this knock on wood, there has been a continued lack of like major injuries.

Like forcing people into like big time touch roles, so low wattage waivers, but by the way, I was about to just get right into the news.

It's a really professional, but maybe we should we were going to riff.

I know we were talking about how washed we were for the show because it sounds like maybe the highlight of your Christmas gifts for both of you were pants.

Yeah, look what kind when you're when you're 39 years old and you open your Christmas gift and it is a pair of khaki pants with an elastic waist.

Oh, no, no, you know, you are what the kids are calling washed.

Speaking of a elastic waist, I lost about four or five pounds when I had the flu.

Let me tell you what, it was quite easy to gain it back over the past five years.

It tends to be it tends to be easy to gain it rather than to lose it.

And so immediately upon opening this elastic wasted pair of pants, I went down and used my recumbent bike for 11 hours straight.

I have been trying to lose weight over the last almost year.

I've had some success, mostly I just haven't gained weight, which at this point does feel like a big job.

Now, Danny, I didn't know yours were khakis with an elastic band.

My were ski pants for a ski trip that I'm taking.

So that was, you know, now after I enter myself on the ski trip, I will enter the true late stages of adulthood.

But for now, you know, I feel young. I've got my ski pants. I'm going to Canada and I'm hit the slopes.

I refuse to go skiing and sprain my meniscus because that is a star or like dislocate my wrist.
