0:08.8	So if you pray for your children, what are you praying for them? I'm John Fuller along with
0:16.5	Danny Werta and Danny my prayers have changed over the years because I think I came to a point of
0:22.3	realizing that I was praying kind of selfishly.
0:25.0	I want my kids to turn out a certain way.
0:28.0	There's a better approach to praying for our kids, right?
0:31.0	Yeah, there are good intentions behind that, right John. Yeah I want the best for your child and we feel like we can just tell God what to do. Yeah, our kids are on a journey. The verse is talking about God is our potter are important for us to really consider.
0:46.4	There's a lot of shaping that's taking place and as we enter those moments of prayer,
0:50.7	trusting in God. And I love Isaiah 26. 3 it says you keep him in
0:55.3	perfect peace whose mind has stayed on you because he trusts in you. Trust in the
1:00.3	Lord forever for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
1:04.2	We can find peacefulness in the middle of chaos and sometimes moments with our kids feel kind of
1:09.4	chaotic because of busy schedules or something going on with our kids or even medical issues coming up.
1:15.2	And his parents, God's saying, come to me.
1:17.5	I will bring peace to that moment if you trust in me.
1:21.0	And he'll show you how to more effectively pray for your child
1:25.0	instead of just saying please fix him or change him or whatever. So we're
1:30.3	going to hear now from Jody Burnt. She talked with Jim Daly and me about some really
