Well, that's not so difficult when everything in your life is

flowing smoothly. But sometimes God does things in our lives that are anything but smooth. Sometimes

he writes the script in ways that make us cry out in pain. Both Robert and I have experienced the loss

of precious loved ones. My dad died

unexpectedly on the weekend of my 21st birthday, leaving my 40-year-old mom with seven children ages 8 to 21.

And not many years later, my brother David was killed in a car wreck at the age of 22.

And Robert's late wife, Bobby, passed away after almost 45 years of marriage.

I'm sure that you're familiar with the pain caused by the death of someone you love.
