Proverbs chapter 3 verses 5 and 6

trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding and all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your pads.

Oh, these are some of the most well-known verses in all of Proverbs and part of me is tempted to

pray according to a different verse but these verses are so foundational I find

myself praying them all the time in my life over others

lives. So let's just soak it in almost like this is the first time you're

hearing it and maybe it is the first time you're hearing it and maybe it is the first

time you're hearing it but even if you've heard it a thousand times. Hear God

saying trust in me with all your heart. This is what it means to live by faith. It means to trust God with

everything that's happening in the world and everything that's happening in our world and our lives with all our heart now to hold

back in any way from trusting in God with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.

This is so foundational to faith, to realize that our understanding is not complete,

that our understanding is not always accurate. We don't see everything. We don't see everything. We don't know

everything. We don't perceive all that God is doing. So don't lean on your own understanding

in all your ways, acknowledge him.

Just think about what it looks like in your life today,

all day long, to just acknowledge him
