Have you ever participated in a trust fall?

It's a trust-building game, often conducted as a group exercise in which a person deliberately

allows themselves to fall backwards, relying on the other members of the group to catch

them.

Relative and timing is everything, isn't it?

For example, it's easier being the one catching rather than the one being caught, and it's

easier to go second after you watch someone else getting caught, but regardless, it will

eventually be your turn to close your eyes, cross your arms, and fall back into the trusting

arms of strangers.

While this meditation from Isaiah chapter 26 will help you discover placing that same

trust but in God, it's easy to state your trust in God, but what about when it comes

to blindly falling back into his arms?

Well, I won't ask you to practice your own trust fall, but as we begin this meditation,

whether it dawn or dusk, allow your eyes to move from open, into a soft gaze, and

gaze to finally close, trusting in the presence of God.
