Okay. Good morning and welcome to our second service on Sunday mornings. We're going through

the Bible verse by verse and today we are in 1 Timothy and the sixth chapter. And our text is going

to be verses 17 through 19. I'm sorry if I'm laughing. It's one of those things where you had to be there.

But hey, really excited to let you know before we get started here that the new site at

chapter 6. We're going to begin in verse 17. We left off in verse 16 last week. And we're just going to get to verse 19. We're not

going to quite finish the chapter and with it the book today. I think you'll see why

The Apostle Paul is writing to a young pastor, Timothy, and he says, verse 17, command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant,

nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who

richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

Command them, verse 18, to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous, and willing

to share.

In this way, verse 19, they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for
