Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Call to mind all those we've promised to pray for.

I'm offering this Rosary, especially for my mom and dad Art Nura

because we're celebrating their 85th and 84th birthday this evening. So happy birthday.

Now this weekend I dropped my phone in water.

It could not swim and unfortunately it drown. I went to buy a new one and in the process was locked out of my Apple account for the next two weeks. No contacts, no anything. This occurred

on the Feast of St Joseph. I actually got mad at St. Joseph.

I'm like Joseph you could work this out.

But then I think God and Our Lady in St. Joseph wanted me to learn something because we live under the

illusion of control. We think that if we have enough foresight, make the right

preparations and decisions, control all the variables, we can protect ourselves and our loved ones against all loss.

This is an illusion.

We are not ultimately in control.

There are infinite variables, threats and opportunities. We cannot foresee and

control them all. But under this illusion of control, we try, and that's why we suffer from anxiety and anger.

We must wake up from this illusion.

Our Father who art in heaven, hollow would be your name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
