Once politicians attempt to control what you believe, they are no longer politicians.

They are, by definition, dictators.

And if they succeed in controlling what you believe, you are no longer a citizen.

You are not a free man. You are a slave.

Next time Republicans are in power, they could reach back and impeach a former Democratic president.

I think that would be profoundly disruptive and a big mistake.

The First Amendment may protect the right of my Democrat colleagues to slander me and to lie,

but it does not give them the right to try to abuse the power of the

Senate. I'm not going to be intimidated by the liberal mob.

Nick Alciamon. We are taping this on January 25th, 2021, which is a historic day in a few sort of, huh, ways.

It is the beginning of the first time that a former president is going through a trial by the Senate for impeachment,

and the first time that a president is going through that trial for the second time,

I don't know how you feel about it, Nick.

I am not under any sort of, I have false ideas that he's going to be convicted or kept

from running again or anything along those lines. But it is important that we talk about because

obviously the Republican Party is now just like, you know, we don't endorse storming the Capitol.

Not that we can prove it was Republicans who did that or Trump supporters.

It was probably Antifa or whatever.

But a lot of them are like, why are we worrying about this?

Why is this a thing that we're even doing?

What a waste of time.
