I went to the poll near Slates closed offices

in downtown Brooklyn to vote early yesterday.

I'm not going to tell you who I vote for.

It's a surprise.

But my friend Sarah had proposed we get coffee

and rave the line together.

It turned out to be about an hour and a half.

That was deceptively long because people were standing

in clumps spaced by six feet.

And the line with all those big gaps

snaked around blocks and blocks.

Okay, so Sarah and I live in the same building

and we voted together in 2016.

I was super upbeat that day.

I was not one of those people who kind of knew

Trump was gonna win. I don't really believe of those people who kind of knew Trump was going to win.
