Now Trump is running the same playbook and essentially asking people not to believe their own eyes.

Today, Donald Trump tried to paint a rosy picture of the U.S. economy,

touting a GDP report that showed the economy growing at 3% in the second quarter.

We smashed all expectations.

They thought it would be maybe a little bit less than two.

And it was three, a little bit more than three.

Consumer spending is up.

Business investment is way up.

Domestic manufacturing is way up.

The real disposable family income is up.

And personal savings are up.

This is truly the dawn of the Golden Age of America.
