This week, Donald Trump, during an interview with George Stephanopoulos admitted that he would accept aid

from foreign nations if they approached him in the future. This stunning and mission drew sharp criticism from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle,

as well as an announcement from the chair of the Federal Election Commission

that accepting foreign aid in connection with an election

is against the law.

Trump's admission raises important questions.
