Straight into our first story, Donald Trump has today made renewed threats to attack Iran. He's posted this on Truth Social. So he says,

a massive armada is heading to Iran. It is moving quickly with great power, enthusiasm and purpose.

It is a larger fleet headed by the great aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln than that sent to Venezuela.

Like with Venezuela, it is ready, willing and able to rapidly fulfill its mission

with speed and violence if necessary. Hopefully Iran will quickly come to the table and negotiate a fair

and equitable deal. No nuclear weapons. One that is good for all parties. Time is running out.

It is truly of the essence. As I told Iran once before, make a deal. They didn't, and there was Operation Midnight Hammer, a major destruction of Iran.

The next attack will be far worse.

Don't make that happen again.

So now it's nuclear, I feel like the justifications are constantly changing.

So before it was about killing protests. Now it's about nuclear weapons. Obviously, there was an Iran nuclear deal until Trump ripped it up just because Obama had signed the deal. So he's sort of after putting the country through hell, he's sort of suggesting if they come to the table and sign something like they did with Obama, maybe it'll all be okay. I don't know. Of course, it's difficult to know

how seriously to take whatever Donald Trump bashes into his smartphone. But the US does appear

to be building up to something quite big. This is from the BBC.

in the region, certainly provides the president with options.
