Over the weekend, both sides downplayed the spat, which has been going on for the past few weeks.

April 6th, when President Trump wrote an expletive-filled post on truth social about the Iran war,

threatening to blow up Iran's infrastructure. The next day, the president posted again, this time writing, quote, a whole civilization will die if Iran didn't comply with U.S. demands.
