Number one, one big, beautiful headache. Number two, the Republican senator playing good cop for Trump in Canada. And number three, how Dems are going to weaponize reconciliation votes. Let's get

into it. The top this morning. Donald Trump landed yesterday, or was about to take off, I guess it was,

yesterday, and was asked about the reconciliation bill in the Senate. Here's what he said. I want the

Senate and the senators to make changes if they want.

It will go back to the House and we'll see if we can get them. In some cases, those changes may be something I'd agree with, to be honest. I think they're going to have changes. Some

will be minor. Some will be fairly significant. Now, compare this, compare this to what

Speaker Mike Johnson said to me and to basically anybody with ears for the last, I don't know,

month. He told me that he went to the Senate Republican conference meeting last week and shared

from the heart about how difficult it was to cobble together a package that could get 218 votes.

Here's a quote, if it wasn't obvious for them,

I wanted them to know the equilibrium

that we reached is so delicate.

My hope and my encouragement to them

is fine-tune this product

as little as possible.
