Donald Trump threatened to completely obliterate Kag Island, the site of Iran's main oil export terminal,

as well as the country's energy plants and oil wells.

Meanwhile, thousands of American paratroopers began arriving in the Middle East, according

to Reuters, adding to the arrival of roughly 2,500 Marines over the weekend.

Sources told the news agency that no decision has been made to send ground troops into the

country.

The UN said two of its peacekeepers were killed and two others wounded when an explosion

destroyed their vehicle in southern Lebanon.

The cause of the blast is unknown.

It follows another deadly incident a day earlier

when a projectile hit a UN base.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's prime minister,

said the army will move further into the country.

A ballistic missile fired from Iran entered Turkey's airspace and was shot down by NATO

defenses, Turkey said.
