When I first read it, I thought that was a joke. I thought that was like their analogy.

It was like the Great Gatsby. No, legit, great Gatsby-themed party at Mar-a-Lago.

just before the revolution, Marie Antoinette twiddling her thumbs just

before shit went down. For those of you who need a little fresher, because maybe it's been a while

since your grade school book assignments. Here's one summary of the Great Gatsby that I thought I just remind everyone of.

The novel's message centers on the hollowness of the American dream. Trump and his goons

clearly have no idea what is actually in the Great Gatsby. They just know they had cool dresses.

They had those little flapper dresses.

That's awesome.

The hollowness of the American dream when it's reduced to wealth and status.

Gatsby's dream he chases is rooted in illusion, class barriers, and the moral emptiness of the elite.
