the key fact is that we have absolutely no idea what's going to happen in an election. We are

operating on fake false data that can be massaged in all kinds of ways that are speculative and

future leaning and do not reflect what is going to happen either in the if you now want to talk

about it really as a three week period in which people now vote in the United States.

But I think it's important to note that the electorate is very interesting. We have now had four

really interesting elections in a row in which the electorate did unexpected things,

each of which has to be interpreted in its own way and that every time we try to fit the electorate

into a box and say, look, this is what history shows midterms have always done this or, you know,

no one's ever going to vote for that and no one's going to vote for a stroke victim, no one's

going to vote for somebody who you know who talked about dragging her by the pee, no one's going to

no one's going to do this. It's just not the way it happens. It's not the way it's done and we are

shamed or at least I am every time by the arrogance with which we presume to understand what I think
