This is the warning.

There are rumors of war in Washington, D.C.

More and more American planes, men, and ships are being deployed to the Southern Caribbean

in advance of attacks on Venezuela.

The President of Peace will start a land war in South America, and a lot of young American men will be killed.

The man who demolished the White House has started a trade war with Canada, the nation we share the longest,

undefended, peaceful border in world history with, our closest ally.

Now, the Canadian government, or more specifically, the conservative Ontario province government

of Doug Ford ran this ad, quoting Ronald Reagan,

about why tariffs are so terrible for working people. Let's watch.

When someone says, let's impose tariffs on foreign imports, it looks like they're doing the patriotic thing by protecting American

products and jobs.

And sometimes for a short while it works, but only for a short time.

But over the long run, such trade barriers hurt every American worker and consumer. High tariffs inevitably lead to retaliation by foreign countries and the triggering of fierce

trade wars.

Then the worst happens.

Markets shrink and collapse, businesses and industry shut down, and millions of people lose their jobs.

Throughout the world, there's a growing realization

that the weight of prosperity for all nations

is rejecting protectionist legislation
