All right, and we are live. Welcome back to the Loopcast. Today, I'm joined by Josh and Erica.

And yeah, we're rolling two days in a row here, which is a little bit of a fun twist for us. But

Josh stayed up way past his bedtime last night to take in all that there was to take in at the Iowa

caucus, a man of mighty knowledge when it comes to obscure election laws

and fun and candidates. If you want to start on records, I heard somewhere broken last night.

What was so historic about just the Trump route that we saw last night?

Yeah, I mean, you know, it was a four-way contest in Iowa,

and not only did Trump get 51 percent, I mean, that's amazing. You got a majority of the votes

in a four-way race. To give perspective on it, back in 2016, there were like three frontrunners.

Ted Cruz won, Trump got second place,

and Mark Rubik got a close third place. They're all kind of bunched together, like 27, 25, 23%. That did not happen this time at all. I mean, Trump won in a route, 51%. And the margin he won it by it was greater than Bob Dole had won it back in 1986.

I mean, Bob Dole was, he's from Kansas, you know, and this was like his, basically his third time running for Dole.

And so it wasn't too much of a shock, but he won it pretty big.

Trump just blew the doors open with the margin of victory.

You know, there are some people still saying, oh, yeah, maybe there's a chance that, you know,

Desanthus could win or something like that, or maybe make it close.

It wasn't close.

I mean, you know, 30-point victory.

And right before the caucus voting started,

I knew I knew it was going to be a pretty big victory when instead of saying, you know,

Bob Vanderplatt's a good guy. I like him. He's a pro, he's a pro life, pro family guy. He runs

the family leader in Des Moines, Iowa. And, but he was all on the,
