In 2006, a construction crew breaks ground

in this parking lot in Lower Manhattan.

And for a few weeks, everything's moving along.

Big machineries, breaking up concrete, ex-grading dirt.

And then they find something.

Construction stops, and a guy named David Poults

is called to the site.

I see this big open space at the corner of spring

and veric street.

It's just a lot of dirt, some back hose.

And then I saw this long white tent.

Poults says it was the sunny day outside,

but then he walks into this dark tent.
