Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse, Donald Trump went ahead and proposed a laundry list of extreme and insane things he plans to do in his second term.

To kick things off, here is Trump's latest pick for his new Secretary of Defense Cabinet position, Pete Higseh, a former Fox news host, discussing what he thinks about women who serve in America's military.

I'm straight up just saying we should not have women in combat roles.

It hasn't made us more affected, hasn't made us more lethal, has made fighting more complicated.

We've all served with women and they're great.

It just our institutions don't have to incentivize that in places where traditionally,

not traditionally, over human history, men in those positions are more capable.

I guess Trump is remaining loyal to his misogynist mandate with this cabinet pick,

no qualified women in the military allowed. But sure, let's place

an unqualified right-wing news anchor to have oversight of America's military branches. And as if

things weren't weird enough, here is Trump at the Oval Office today, sitting across from Joe Biden

talking about how smooth the peaceful transfer of power will be.

Thank you very much. And politics is tough.

And it's, in many cases, not a very nice world.
