Good evening from New York. I'm Chris Hayes. We've got a two hour special

edition of All-In on this Labor Day weekend eve. We are 67 days out from the election, which I cannot believe.

The past 24 hours have been a kind of microcosm of the whole race. You've got Kamil Harris and Tim

Wall's sort of doing the standard campaign work of a major party candidate.

They kept an even keel in a sit-down interview last night that went through a lot of

the Republican charges against them.

And while they're doing that, Trump is out there and

honestly stumbling to put together English sentences. His campaign keeps stepping

in messes of its own making including an enormous one tonight which we're going to get to and both the candidate and his aides are as usual posting through it

The fallout continues from Trump's political photo op and campaign commercial on Tik-Tock at Arlington National Cemetery at the beginning of the week where he

gave the thumbs up over the graves of veterans, including many who didn't

consent to any of this, cut a video blaming their deaths on

Democrats.

Now his campaign is openly doing battle with the United States Army.

Remember, when a worker tried to just enforce the

cemetery's rules against political filming among the graves a Trump aide got

physical with her. She filed a report but didn't press charges, reportedly

fearing retribution from Trump supporters who could blame her. report suffering from a mental health episode. And so the Army was sort of forced to put

a remarkable statement rebuking the Trump team for lying. quote, this incident

was unfortunate and was also unfortunate that Cemetery employee and her

professionalism has been unfairly

attacked. Arlington is a national shrine to the honored dead of the armed forces.
