of course, to house some tens of thousands of migrants that have been rounded up on the streets of

America. So the order calls for the defense and homeland security departments to provide

detention space at Guantanamoamo and for, I quote here,

high priority criminal aliens unlawfully present in the United States. So what is going on here? I want

to talk with the editor of Law Dragon and the author of the book, America's Trial, Torture and the 9-11

case on Guantanamo Bay.

Sure, thanks for having me.

You are at Guantanamo Bay right now.

I am.

I've been here for close to two weeks for this latest trip,

and this is probably my 55th trip overall.

Okay. We're going to talk about what's happening at Guantanamo Bay, but what exactly is going

on here as it relates to this overall story of some 30,000, if not more, migrants or, you know,

undocumented immigrants being placed in Guantanamo Bay? Yeah, right now it's a little bit of a wait and see because it caught a lot of people by surprise.

And so right now there's physical space on this base for that many people if they wanted to,

but there's not the infrastructure for it.

So it's a little unclear how this is going to unfold and how quickly. It almost

really would require funding from Congress. So people are kind of waiting and seeing and asking,
