that he'd authorised the CIA to

carry out secret operations there and that the US was now considering strikes on Venezuelan

territory. Over the last few weeks, the US military has conducted a series of strikes against

alleged drug smuggling boats in the Caribbean. 27 people have been killed.

It's also deployed about 10,000 troops to the region and several ships and landing craft.

We are certainly looking at land now because we've got the sea very well under control.

because we had an open border policy. And the other thing of drugs, we have a lot of drugs coming in

from Venezuela. And a lot of the Venezuelan drugs come in through the sea,

so you get to see that. But we're going to stop them by land also.
