Americans could feel the pinch of President Donald Trump's sweeping new tariffs he sets one veil later today.

Among the tariff proposals Trump is apparently considering, the worst-case scenario appears to be a 20% universal tax on all U.S. imports.

According to research from the Budget Lab at Yale, the tariffs, along with U.S. trade partners,

retaliating would likely cost the typical middle-class household $3,800 per year in disposable income due to higher prices.
