in just 30 minutes. Not a single lawmaker protested the votes. And unlike four years ago,

the Capitol and no lawmakers had to be evacuated. Vice President Harris announced the final result

since it was her job as president of the Senate. And even though it meant certifying her own defeat,

Harris told reporters she had no problem defending the Constitution and supporting a peaceful

transition of power. On social media, President-elect Trump called it a peaceful transition of power.
