Qatari-gifted Air Force One. New York Times reports this, quote, the subpoenas which seek to force

the reporters to testify before a federal grand jury in Manhattan on Wednesday were an extraordinary

escalation in Donald Trump's efforts to threaten and intimidate independent news

organizations. They add that, quote, in some cases, the subpoenas were delivered by federal

agents who showed up at reporters' homes. The subpoenas contained few specifics, asking only

that the journalists testify, quote, in regard to an alleged violation of federal criminal

law, end quote. They were issued by Jay Clayton. He's the U.S. attorney in Manhattan's

SDNY. The journalist targeted includes some familiar faces to viewers of this program, Julian

Barnes, Eric Lipton, Tyler Pager, and Eric Schmidt, all of whose reporting is absolutely

essential to what we know about Donald Trump and his administration.

They reported last week about how Donald Trump's shiny new Qatari jet lacks the same

defensive countermeasures that were features of the old Air Force One, creating risk and using the jet abroad.
