President Donald Trump met with the NATO Secretary General Mark Ruta in the Oval Office today,

where he gave Russian President Vladimir Putin an ultimatum on the war in Ukraine.

And I'm disappointed in President Putin because I thought we would have had a deal two months ago,

but it doesn't seem to get there.

So based on that, we're going to be doing secondary tariffs. If we don't have a deal in 50 days, it's very simple.

And they'll be at 100%.

A White House official clarified to CNN that when the president referred to secondary tariffs,

he meant the U.S. would enact 100% tariffs on Russia as well as secondary sanctions, which would be imposed

on other countries that buy Russian oil.

The meeting comes just days after the U.S. announced a deal with NATO for European allies

to foot the bill to send more weapons to Ukraine, which Ruta confirmed today.

But it will mean that Ukraine gets his hands on really massive numbers of military equipment.
