Good Sunday morning to you. It's July 27th. Congress may be on vacation for the next month,

but Democratic lawmakers and some Republican ones, too, are keeping up the pressure on this administration to release the Epstein files.

Before House Speaker Mike Johnson abruptly decided to begin that month

long, August recess in July, the Democratic Congressman Roe Kana partnered with the Republican

Congressman Thomas Massey to co-sponsor a measure to force the federal government to release

all unclassified records related to Jeffrey Epstein's case. Now, moments ago, they both spoke with my colleague, Kristen Welker, on Meet the Press,

about their push for more transparency from the Trump administration.

And during the interview, Congressman Massey also responded to Speaker Johnson's criticism

that he's trying to inflict political pain on his own political party.

I don't know why it should be politically painful to be transparent.

Is the pain he's talking about that somebody in our party will be embarrassed by those files,

then that's not a good excuse.

Is the pain he's talking about is that the legislators, when they vote, have to pick between protecting

embarrassment of the rich and powerful versus getting justice for victims. I don't really understand

what he means by that. Well, the Epstein files continue to cause turmoil over domestic politics.

Donald Trump doesn't seem as worried about it right now. He's spending a few days in Scotland, the country where his mother was born and raised. He's primarily there to participate

in the opening of a new Trump golf course in the country. He's added some official business to the

schedule while he's there, but the president didn't exactly receive a warm welcome from locals.

Protesters turned out at a few different cities over the weekend

to express their anger and frustration with how Trump has antagonized much of the world on a number

of different issues. As I said, though, Trump seems unconcerned with how Europe is reacting to his
